The ART of COMICS... on location

Tutors Mark Richards, Bala McLay, Tim Adlide, Richard Stevens & Gemma Duffill have to date held classes in conjunction with the Brisbane City Council Library Service, Gold Coast City Council Library Service, NSW Dept of Education & Training, Richmond Tweed Library Service, Tasmanian Dept of Education, Devonport & Burnie Councils, TAS Regional Arts and at their Lismore gallery.

The Workshop

In a special 90 minute 'INTRO' Workshop,

participants are given instruction in how, from utilising basic shapes, you can easily create your own characters, 3 panel comic strips and 2 step Animations.

The aim of the ART of COMICS project, is to provide ongoing access to professional skills and techniques for students of all ages and thus develop a new generation of Australian comic book artists and writers creating visually exciting characters and story lines in a contemporary international style.
